When feeding Think like a bird!
Beware of placing food near low shrubs and bushes as this provides cover for predators that can pounce on the unsuspecting birds. Place feeders, bird houses and fat balls near trees or outbuildings. Birds like to have a
high perch near their nests so they can survey the area for hunting and watching for predators. Gardens are a very important wildlife habitat. Including plants that bear berries and attract insects are a great way of supplementing natural food resources. Plants also provide nest areas attracting a wide variety of birds.
